Paradise Destroyed

Paradise Destroyed (楽園破壊, rakuen hakai), henceforth referred to as Rakuhaka, is a free Japanese RPG Maker VX Ace game created by Umami Mazu under the circle name Marutoku Kichi. It has a total of 12 endings encompassing both the main story and bonus dungeon, and it is officially estimated to take 9-18 hours in total to play.

Characters

How many characters Rakuhaka has differs based on your criteria, but the relatively small cast of each world allows you to get to know them. Below is a spoiler-free introduction to all the characters in the game, as well as the categories they fall into.

imageCai Kaneiki (金逝カイ)
The older one of the Kaneiki brothers. Cai is boistrous, confident, and curious, simultaneously invested in and detached from the world. Treasures are the most important things in the world to him, and his younger brother Bel falls under that category. He steals whatever he wishes, believing that it all belongs in his hands, but has a particular moral code he follows that doesn't always align with others'. His special ability is called Destruction, and it allows him to destroy anything in his path.

imageBel Kaneiki (金逝ベル)
The younger one of the Kaneiki brothers. Bel tends to be quiet, withdrawn, and serious, but when his brother is concerned, he can grow unusually heated and loud. He believes that everything his brother desires should be granted to him, and that his existence is equivalent to a god's. As such, he tries to have others respect and worship his brother as well, and carries around a handwritten bible about him. His special ability is called Self-Questioning, and it allows him to draw power from asking himself and others about the meaning of their existence and use it to perform a variety of feats that suit his needs.

Type: Main Character, Major Character, Named Character
imageButterfly (蝶)
A loudmouthed and frivolous butterfly that teams up with the brothers on their journey through Paradise. He loves to tease others and get reactions out of them, poking at their sore spots, but can be surprisingly fretful and caring towards his companions once he actually grows attached.

Type: Main Character, Major Character, Named Character

Cameos

Marutoku's works often reference each other, and Rakuhaka has been involved in this as well.

Rakuhaka itself contains a reference to ZENO in the form of the idol group WHITE★knight, which the "Mysterious Fanboy" is a big fan of.

Ghost Six especially contains a great deal of references to Marutoku and Nemurita (their collaboration partner) works.

Figure of the Kaneiki brothers and Butterfly from the gachapon machine in the train station.
Lyrics from a song sung by Mimimi Aishima. Its name is unknown, and the lyrics themselves are not from Rakuhaka.

いつまでも いっしょWe'll be together forever.
フォエバー とおくにNo matter how far apart we
いっても 心は近いare, our hearts are connected.
わたしら マブだからBecause we're best friends.
A closed Monkey Submarine with a Butterfly symbol. "AFRO" references the shopkeepers.
One of the train lines, the Paradise Line, has an icon of Butterfly symbolizing it, and its name is meant to reflect the game's.
The rabbit game in Sumire's phone references the Mysterious Fanboy's room, with its butterfly curtains and Monkey Submarine box.
There is also a blue butterfly cushion to represent Butterfly, and it is possible that the black arrow cushion that begins to spell out "Raku" is referencing the game as well.
